A decade of dedication and commitment to Bharath

A decade of dedication and commitment to Bharath

Ten years ago, in July 2014, we put that first sticker on a honey and spice jar. And since then, it has been a roller coaster of a ride.

But one thing has remained constant: our commitment to contribute to the wellbeing of those around us.

Business in India is both hard and rewarding at the same time. The pitfalls and uncertainties are many; yet, being part of this Bharath story is exciting and even exhilarating at times.

We started with a vision of bringing nature’s best produce to our customers, typically what you don’t find on a supermarket shelf because of the massy nature of the products available there.

In the process, we wanted to contribute towards the wellbeing of the future of Bharath and towards the uplifting of its farmers and tribals, who have, for a few thousand years, worked tirelessly towards feeding us.

The journey goes on, and the commitment has not wavered. We would like to see ourselves, a few decades later and a few million Honey and Spice jars later, still being relentlessly committed to this Bharath story.

Our Achievements in the Past 10 Years:

1. Bringing to our customers some of the rarest produce:

From Apple Honey to Ceylon Cinnamon, try all you want, but you won’t find them on a supermarket shelf.

2. Uplifting remote tribal communities:

By giving a fair price to their produce, cutting out all middlemen.

3. Supporting small farmers:

By procuring carefully harvested small batch produce, which otherwise would have been sold at MSPs or the price dictated by the middlemen.

4. Staying sustainable:

By eliminating plastic and other pollutants in our packaging.

5. Empowering women in the workplace:

With almost all key positions held by women, we are proud to be run by the women of Bharath.

Our Commitment for the Coming Year:

1. Upping our sustainability game:

By moving towards our plastic-free goals.

2. Rural upliftment:

Empower more farmers by bringing their small batch produce to our customers.

3. Cruelty-free harvesting:

Bharath is not just about the humans who inhabit it; our goals extend to including and sustaining all lives on this land.

4. Commitment to customers:

100% transparency and commitment to bringing only the best to our customers.

Our goals are simple, but our commitment and responsibility to this land and its inhabitants are boundless.

Jai Hind!
